Dakin Stovall

Graduate Student
Developmental Psychology

Dakin Stovall is a Ph.D. student in the psychology research program at BYU studying the effects of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) on parents and families. She is currently the graduate student over the Autistic Education Lab. Her research interests include Acceptance Commitment Therapy as a form of treatment for stress, anxiety, and depression in ASD parents; dyadic coping as a type of relationship therapy in the instance of ASD induced marital strain; and ASD specific testing to improve awareness of needs in those affected by autism. Her ultimate desire is to pursue a fulfilling career in ASD family functioning research. As a mother of an autistic child herself, Dakin blends practical experience and research with the intention of improving the lives of those impacted by autism.

Rebekah Kaylor

Psychology

Rebekah Kaylor lives in Highland, Utah and is studying Psychology. She will enter BYU's Master of Social Work (MSW) program in Fall of 2023. Her career goals include working in school and community systems to provide education, therapy, and resources to neurodiverse and vulnerable populations. Rebekah has been married for 26 years and is a mother of four who loves snuggling with family while watching vintage movies and tv.

Katelyn Davis

Psychology

Katelyn Davis grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, and is graduating with a degree in psychology and a minor in Spanish. In the fall she will start a second Bachelor’s program in Communication Disorders, after which she intends to get a Master’s degree in the same. Katelyn loves spending time outdoors, with friends, and is always ready for a rainy day and a good book.

Madelynn Syphus

Psychology

Madelyne (she/they) is finishing their 3rd year at BYU studying Psychology. She hopes to get a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and focus her research on issues of diversity and equity while diagnosing and treating neurodevelopmental disorders. Madelyne is a member of BYU Women’s Chorus and enjoys all things music, especially singing and performing.
